HELLO, AND A WARM WELCOME!
My name is Klaudia.
I am a fully qualified CBT therapist and completed my postgraduate diploma validated by COSCA from ACT Counselling Services in Glasgow. I also hold an MSc degree in Psychology of Mental Health from the University of Edinburgh.
About me
My expertise
I am trained to treat symptoms consistent with most common mental health disorders issues including:
- General Anxiety Disorder (GAD)
- Depression
- Low Self Esteem
- Panic Disorder
- Social Anxiety
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Health Anxiety
- Specific Phobias
- Trauma
How did I gain my experience?
- Gambling addiction – extensive experience in supporting people with problem gambling, as well as the affected others.
- Substance Misuse – facilitating SMART recovery groups, previous experience of recovery work.
- Carers – completed my CBT course placement at Renfrewshire Carers Centre, where I supported carers to deal better with their caring responsibilities and elevate emotional burden of that role.
- Culturally Sensitive Therapy – I left my home country and moved to the UK at the age of 17 so I truly understand the challenges presented by adapting to the completely environment, therefore I am well placed to support immigrants and expats. I have also worked with those from minority groups, in particular the Polish community in the UK, to provide mental health support (previously volunteered at Edinburgh-based Feniks. Counselling, Personal Development and Support Services).
- Work-related stress – due to my previous corporate experience before my career change, I have a good understanding of issues within professional environments or career change.
Change is possible, and there is hope
With 5 years of experience working with people affected by addictions and 2 years supporting the general population and individuals with caring responsibilities carers, I know how fulfilling making changes in your life can be.
By skillfully blending evidence-based CBT tools with the person-centric approach, I work collaboratively with clients to improve the quality of their lives.
Regardless of whether effective behaviour change is needed to deal with the source of problems, or you are currently facing difficult circumstances which are hard to change, and you need support to deal with them more effectively, I would like to invite you to work together.
